  • If you need to blow dry your hair, apply a leave-on conditioner prior to it
  • Avoid excess application of styling products, as this could make your hair very greasy due to increased humidity

1. It is never too soon to start applying moisturising cream on your face and neck at night. Don’t wait until the first tell tale signs of wrinkles start. To keep your skin youthful for as long as possible make sure it is clean and moisturised before you go to bed. Give up smoking. It is not only bad for your health and skin but you will also develop deep wrinkles around your lips which will be much more obvious than the ones that may develop anywhere else on your face. 2. Lower those high heels to a sensible level. Putting extra pressure on your toes can cause damage to the joints in your big toe which will lead to arthritis. You could be hobbling around before you are 40. If you have painful toes when you remove your shoes then your heels are too high. Put your health before fashion. Fashions change but health deteriorates.
3. Take care of your teeth. Visit the dentist every six months and clean your teeth at least twice a day. Be very diligent especially before you go to sleep and don’t forget the dental floss. Anything left in your teeth will be working at destroying the enamel all night. Losing back teeth, for instance, means that your cheeks lose their support. Film stars used to have their back teeth removed to enhance their cheek bones. That might look good at 25 but not so good at 45. Treasure them, adult teeth once lost do not grow again.
4. Let the natural colour of your hair shine through by brushing and using a good hair brush and shampoo. Do not be in a hurry to add artificial colouring. It is not good for your hair and contains harmful substances. 22 chemicals present in hair dyes are suspected of causing cancer, the ones that darken the hair being the most dangerous. Check out the thickness of hair that has been regularly dyed over the years, in many cases you will see that it is very thin and the scalp shows through alarmingly.
5. Check your weight at least once a month. Weight goes on slowly but a small amount month after month will gradually result in an overweight body. It is better to discover what is going on and to take steps to make the small changes necessary when you are young than to try to tackle a big problem in middle age. Do some routine exercises regularly to keep fit and supple. A routine that you enjoy would encourage you to be consistent. Join a gym, get a bike, walk the dog, go swimming whatever suits you best and is convenient.
6. Do not neglect a regular cervical smear test and remember to check your breasts every month too. Early detection saves lives and prevents surgery.
7. Have your eyes examined, even though you may think your vision is perfect. Squinting causes wrinkles around the eyes, better to have lenses or spectacles if your vision needs correction

Anti-blemish mask: 2 tablespoons powdered milk, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 4 tablespoons honey. Mix all the ingredients into a paste. Apply to the face and let it work for 20 minutes. Then wash your face and apply a layer of plain yogurt. Leave for 10 minutes and wash


Apple mask to fade blemishes: Blend an apple with a little milk, the juice of two lemons, and three tablespoons of sugar. Bring mixture to a boil. Let it cool and apply for 45 minutes, three times a week. Do it at night when you will not be going out.

Cucumber and parsley mask: 5 tablespoons blended cucumber, 5 tablespoons minced parsley, 5 tablespoons sesame oil or wheat germ oil. Put in a glass bottle and seal. Keep in dark place for a few days and then apply to blemishes in compresses. Leave for 20 minutes. Wash.

TIPS FOR PRETTY FACE!!!!!!

1. Drink More Water - The best place to start with moisturizing your skin is from the inside. Drinking at least 8 glass of pure water every day is essential to keep your skin supply and to help take skin dulling toxins out of your system.
2. Eat your EFA’s - EFA’s? Yeah, funny word, but oh so important! EFA’s or essential fatty acids are important for skin health because they give your body the fats that keep your skin supple and healthy. Eat vegetables, flax seed oil, salmon, walnuts and eggs a few times a week to get all the EFA’s your body needs.
3. Exfoliate Regularly - Sluggish skin cell turnover can cause your complexion to be dull and rough. But you can use a body scrub to slough off the dead skin. It’s like using delicate sandpaper on your skin. It will take the bad stuff off your skin and expose the fresh new skin underneath. At the end of this article I’ve included an easy body scrub recipe you can whip up yourself.
4. Get Chemical Skin Peels - One of the best kept secrets on how to get smooth skin is glycolic skin peels. A chemical peel (usually glycolic) actually removes the top most layers of skin. HOME MADE HAIR CONDITIONERS!!!!!

DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENTS
NOTE: Always apply treatments to clean, freshly washed hair.
HOMEMADE MAYONNAISE AND EGG TREATMENT
You will need...
  • Twice as much real mayonnaise as what you normally would use of conditioner for regular conditioning.
  • One to three eggs depending on current hair length. (One for shoulder length, two for waist length and three for longer).
  • Thermal shower cap
  • Blow dryer or hot towels
Blend together and apply mixture to hair. (Room temperature to slightly warm is best for absorption). Wind hair on top of head and cover with a thermal shower cap. Blast lightly with a blow dryer a few times or cover with hot towels. The heat will help the conditioner to absorb better. (Don't use excessive heat). Leave on for about one hour and rinse with cool water. Use a mild two-in-one shampoo to remove excess residue continuing to use cool water. The cool will help to seal back the hair which will lock in softness and shine.
MAYONNAISE AND AVOCADO TREATMENT
This treatment is much like the previous treatment. You will follow the same steps except for using avocado in the place of the egg.
Use 1/2 avocado for shoulder length, 1 whole avocado for waist length and 1 1/2 to 2 avocados for longer hair.

~Always let hair air dry naturally and do not brush when wet.
If you do not wish to use one of the above treatments you can still deep condition using your regular hair conditioner.
Just use twice as much conditioner as you normally would and use the heat method with the thermal shower cap and leave on for an hour. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

Long nails tip 1: Don't use your nails as tools.
Rather than using your nails use other parts of your hand, or a pen, to perform tasks like dialing the phone. Don't pick, poke or scrape with your nails and especially avoid opening soft drink cans with your nails.

Long nails tip 2: Wear gloves.
Detergents are particularly harsh on your nails and can cause splitting and peeling. Wear gloves when washing dishes or cleaning. You should also wear gloves when gardening to protect your nails from infection and prevent dryness, damage, and loss of natural oils.


Long nails tip 3: Don't bit your nails or pick at your cuticles.
Aside from the obvious reason of biting shortening your nails these habits can damage the nail bed. Even a minor cut alongside your nail can allow bacteria or fungi to enter the nail bed and cause an infection. Remember your nails grow slowly so an injured nail retains signs of damage for several months.

Long nails tip 4: Look after your cuticles.
The cuticle is a barrier that keeps bacteria from the nail matrix, where new cells are generated, so it should not be cut or trimmed. On the other hand you do want to keep cuticles from becoming overgrown, which suffocates nail growth. If your cuticle has grown out on to the nail plate, after sufficiently softening your cuticles in warm water, very gently use a cuticle pusher to push your cuticles back. As well as pushing your cuticles back this will help to remove dead skin and debris that may have accumulated. Hold the cuticle pusher at an angle, and use tiny circular movements, so that you are as gentle and careful as possible and do not damage the cuticle. When you have finished doesn't forget to moisturize your hands.

TREATING ACNE!!!!!!!!!!!!

An oatmeal mask is soothing for the face and easy to make. Grind a handful of oatmeal in a blender. Mix the oatmeal powder with a little water, apply to your face and lay down. Soothing, effective, and not irritating!
Slice a raw white potato and place it on top of your acne outbreaks. Leave for five to seven minutes. Helps with acne healing as well as reducing the swelling and inflammation.
A baking soda facial mask is gentle and non irritating. Mix some baking soda powder into a paste, apply to your face and let dry, then rinse with pure water. If you feel your skin is too sensitive for a whole facial mask, try dabbing the paste onto individual pimples. Let them dry, then rinse.
Do an egg yolk facial mask done once a day for 7 days is said to get rid of acne. Beat an egg yolk, apply to face with a cosmetic brush or a clean child's paintbrush, and let dry for 10 minutes. Don't use if you are allergic to eggs!
Apples and honey can also help get rid of acne. Grate a little apple and mix with honey.apply on face and leave for 15-20 mins.rinse with cold water.

Apply eye base to your lid: Eye base is the secret to keeping your shadow in place for hours. Your eye shadow is likely to end up as a greasy line if you don't prime your lid properly first.
Apply shadow: It's great to use a three-toned shadow and build from lids to brow. Start with a light colour that almost matches your lid. Sweep the colour across the lid and up to your brow bone. Follow with a medium colour across your lid only. Build on this with a darker colour in the crease. Blend the colours well.
Follow with eyeliner-
Dark eye shadows work great as eyeliners. Wet a slanted brush, and then dip in a dark eye shadow. Line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner. Follow with liner on bottom eyes, but only line from the middle of the eye out. Smudge the bottom line with a cotton bud. You don't want a prominent line. For a smoky eye, use a brush to pat in a dark eye shadow along the upper lid and below the lid.
Brighten your eyes with a highlighter : This step involves only the inside part of the eye. With a gold or pink highlighter, draw a v-shaped shape that follows the inner corner of your eye from top to bottom. Blend with your fingers. This will help make eyes 'pop.'
Highlight your brow: Take the same highlighter and dab it on your brow bone, concentrating on your mid-brow outward. Blend with your finger.
Curl lashes: An eyelash curler will make even long lashes look gorgeous. For added effect, you can heat the curler under a blow dryer for a couple seconds. Test curler before applying to lashes because you could burn yourself.
Apply mascara : Place the wand of your mascara brush at the bottom of lashes and wiggle back and forth. Follow with a few sweeps of the wand. Apply to bottom lashes as well.
